
Built Like Buktryck
Built Like Buktryck is a program for those with a background in strength training who have trained a lot and trained hard, but no longer have the same amount of time as before. You want to fit in three to five sessions per week, but they need to be short and effective.
The program is built and adapted for Sweden’s Strongest Man 2021, Marcus “Buktryck” Yngvesson. After ten years as a strongman he chose to step away from competing to spend more time and energy on his family. The exercises and structure are designed to fit his current life situation, but they will work just as well for you, or anyone else in a similar phase of life.
The program consists of four sessions per week for five weeks. It can just as easily be completed over six to seven weeks, or condensed into four weeks, depending on how much time you have.
The idea is that if you miss a few sessions one week and only get two done, you can make up for it the following week by doing four to six sessions. The workouts alternate between upper and lower body, which allows you to train multiple days in a row without overloading the same muscle groups.
